After a mis-spent youth in the music industry Geoff started out by learning to photograph architecture designed by a couple of trusting acquaintances. Cheered by the successful results and embarking upon a two year study of photography and graphics he began also to work for the popular music press which led on to commissions from book publishers and packagers as well. After opening his studio in central London work grew to include a wider range of brochure, direct mail, magazine and PR content. Most of these areas have happily continued to develop and further evolve during the white-knuckle digital ride of recent years. Although he will still use traditional film if asked nicely, everything is now usually shot as a raw digital file via a fully colour managed workflow with calibrated monitors and Photoshop post production directed to print and/or web output. He also offers digital retouching/manipulation skills if required. Life is never dull, shooting everything from tarantulas to teddy bears, while the drum kit rests quietly in its cases until the day when there’s a bit more time to spend on mis-use.
